Why The New Name?
Frequently Asked Questions
The Crossroads Center is now NorthStar Behavioral Health
What is changing?
We are changing our name from The Crossroads Center to NorthStar Behavioral Health. Our mission, values, and commitment to the people we serve remain the same—only our name and visual identity are changing.
Why are we changing our name?
The name NorthStar Behavioral Health reflects our role as a steady guide—helping individuals and families find direction, clarity, and hope during challenging times. As our organization has grown, we wanted a name that better represents our full range of services and our vision for the future.
Is NorthStar a new organization?
No. NorthStar is the same organization formerly known as The Crossroads Center. This is a rebrand, not the creation of a new organization.
Are services changing?
No. All services will continue exactly as they are today. The programs, quality of care, and approach you know and trust remain the same.
Will I still work with the same staff?
Yes. You will continue working with the same staff, clinicians, and support team. There are no staffing changes associated with this name change.
Do clients need to do anything?
No action is required. Appointments, services, billing, and communications will continue without interruption. Over time, you will see the new name and logo on materials, but everything else stays the same.
Is this a merger or an ownership change?
No. This is not a merger, acquisition, or ownership change. Leadership, governance, and organizational structure remain unchanged.
Why the name NorthStar?
The North Star has long symbolized guidance, steadiness, and hope. We believe it reflects our role in helping people navigate life transitions and challenges while staying grounded in our mission and values.
Will this affect my privacy or client records?
No. Client confidentiality, privacy policies, and record‑keeping practices remain fully intact and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. Your records are secure and unchanged.
Will you still be referred to as The Crossroads Center?
During the transition, you may still see or hear references to NorthStar Behavioral Health (formerly The Crossroads Center). Eventually, NorthStar Behavioral Health will become our primary name, but it will always represent the same organization you know.
