At NorthStar Behavioral Health, we provide compassionate substanceuse treatment in Cincinnati that honors each person’s experiences and goals. Our programs are built around your needs, your pace, and your path forward. 

We offer residential services, outpatient counseling, medicationassisted care, specialized programs for women and adolescents, and communitybased support. Every member of our team is committed to treating people with respect, honesty, and genuine care, walking alongside you through each step of recovery. 

We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance, and we offer financial assistance so that cost is never a barrier to getting help. 

  

Our Substance Use Services 

NorthStar offers a full range of treatment options. Your care team will help determine the right level of care based on your evaluation. 

  • Outpatient Counseling: Individual, group, and family therapy that fits into your daily schedule 
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Structured treatment with more support than standard outpatient care 
  • Women’s Residential Treatment: 24-hour residential care designed for women, including those with dependent children 
  • Men’s Residential Treatment: Residential care for adult men with substance use and co-occurring mental health needs 
  • Adult Residential Treatment: Short-term co-ed residential care with intensive, individualized support 
  • Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT): FDA-approved medications combined with counseling to support long-term recovery 
  • MOMS Program: Medication-assisted care for women who are pregnant or have recently given birth 
  • Outreach and Prevention: Community-based programs focused on education, prevention, and connecting people with care 
  • Psychological Evaluations: Comprehensive assessments to guide your treatment plan 
  • Adolescent Program: Support for young people ages 12–17 and their families
