Bringing Support into the Community
Not everyone who needs help will walk through our doors on their own. That’s why NorthStar takes addiction prevention and outreach into the community, meeting people where they are and connecting them with the care and resources they need.
Our outreach efforts focus on education, prevention, and early intervention. We partner with community organizations, schools, and local churches to deliver programs that reduce stigma, raise awareness, and give people a clear path to help when they’re ready.
Community Prevention Programs
NorthStar works with five area churches to deliver substance use prevention programs for adolescents and teens. These programs provide education about substance use risks, build coping skills, and create trusted spaces where young people and their families can ask for help.
The Access Team (Coming 2026)
NorthStar is developing the Access Team (A-Team), a mobile outreach initiative that will bring assessment and support directly into the community. The A-Team will include trained intake staff who can meet people in the field, conduct assessments, and connect them with the right level of care.
More details will be shared as the program launches. If you’d like to learn more or stay updated, contact our team.
